[attr="class","reolBody"] Starter PokemonWe are all here for the Pokemon, but what can we start with? Well, this site is very different from most. Most sites I’ve seen will only allow members to start with one Pokemon at level 5. On top of that it’s limited to which Pokemon you can start out with. We are not that strict, however, some limits must be made. So here is what to keep in mind: [break][break] 1-3 Pokemon to startThree is the max. After all, who’s to says you can only get a Pokemon at the age of 10? Perhaps your character was given his/her first Pokemon when they were born. Also, a character who’s already 20+ years old most likely already has two or three Pokemon. [break][break] These pokemon may be evolved and those that evolve via stones you can have only 1 evolved. [break][break] non-starter pokemonCharacters cannot start with fossil or mega evolution pokemon, as the citizens do not have the technology at hand to revive them. Also, as the plot suggests pseudo-legendary, and legendary pokemon do not exist. And due to Everlong’s isolation, Ultra Beasts have not yet been discovered. Please see our list on all available pokemon in Everlong Kingdom for what you are allowed to start with. [break][break] Or below is a list of currently not discovered/disallowed pokemon in Everlong. {click here}Fossils[break] Omanyte, Omastar, Kabuto, Kabutops, Aerodactyl, Lileep, Cradily Anorith, Armaldo, Cranidos, Rampardos, Shieldon, Bastiodon, Tirtouga, Carracosta, Archen, Archeops, Tyrunt,Tyrantrum, Amaura, Aurorus [break][break] Psuedo Legendaries[break] Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite, Larvatar, Pupitar, Tyranitar, Bagon, Shelgon, Salamence, Beldum, Metang, Metagross, Gible, Gabite, Garchomp, Deino, Zweilous, Hydregion, Goomy, Sliggoo,Goodra, Jangmo-o, Hakamo-o, Kommo-o [break][break] Legends[break] Articuno, Zapados, Moltres, Mewtwo, Raikou, Entei, Suicne, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Regiroc, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Uxie, Mespirit, Azelf, Dialga, Palkia, Heatran, Regigigas, Giritina, Cresselia, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Tornadus, Thundurus, Reshiram, Zekrom, Landours, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Type: Null, Silvaly, Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele Tapu Bulu, Tapu Fini, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma [break][break] Mythicals[break] Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Manaphy and Phione, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini,Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Magerna, Marshadow, Zeraora, Meltan, Melmetal [break][break] Ultra Beasts[break] Nihilego, Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Xurkitree , Celesteela, Kartana , Guzzlord , Poipole , Naganadel, Stakataka, Blacephalon starting pokemon levelsHowever, the starting level cap is dependent on rank, with the most common cap being 30, and we request that you keep it believable. A new trainer is not going to start with a level 30 Pokemon. Most likely they will start with a level 5 or 10, max. When making your application, you will be explaining how you received your Pokemon and why they are the level they are at. The Admin accepting the application will be the final judge in deciding if your Pokemon's level is reasonable. If they believe its too high, they will request you lower it to a certain level. [break][break] A few Plot related characters will be able to start with higher level pokemon. The max to this will very between which plot related character they are. The reason for this is to help create a challenge. After all, what’s the point of a plot if there isn’t something a character has to overcome? It’s true that all the characters on the site will end up being linked into the plot somehow, but these characters will be the key players to start the plot. [break][break] pokemon colorsYou can not pick if your Pokemon is a shiny or different color. However, when an admin has accepted your profile, you can ask for them to roll a die. There will be a small chance depending on what they roll that your Pokemon may have a special color. If your Pokemon receives a special color you may choose not to use the color if you don't want to. However, you can not change which color was rolled or which Pokemon received the special color. [break][break] moves and abilitiesYou may pick your starting Pokemon's Ability, though it must be one they can be found with. This includes Dream Abilities. Ex. Bulbasaur can have the Overgrow ability or the Chlorophyll ability. You may also pick up to six moves for your pokemon. One of those six moves can be an egg move. They can not start with any TM/HM or Tutored moves. [break][break] hybrids and fake pokemonAs of right now there will be no hybrids. Also, members will not be able to create fake Pokemon. This may change in the future depending on member suggestions. If something does come into effect, you will still not be able to start with any of these Pokemon.

[attr="class","reolBody"] Catching a Pokemon Ready to go out and catch your very own pokemon?! Well, this page will explain how you can do just that.
[break][break]
one catching per character This is to make it easier on both player and staff. Characters should not be out catching Pokemon all the time. We want them to have a life. Also, staff have their own characters to be responsible for. Please be courteous. The only time you may have a second catch thread for one character is when there is an event spawn going on.
[break][break]pokeballs Pokeballs are the only type of catching device the Kingdom of Everlong has invented. Great balls, Ultra balls, etc, have not yet been invented. [break][break] Also, Pokeballs do not just appear on your person. You need to buy them from the site-store after attempting 5 catches.
[break][break]pokemon encounters Each Region of Everlong has its own set of unique Pokemon. Only those certain Pokemon can be found there, most of the time. However, there is a small chance that you could encounter a Pokemon that doesn't belong there. There will also be a small chance that the Pokemon you run into will have a special color. This is also something that is decided with dice. [break][break] Just because you can find a Pokemon in the area you are in doesn't mean you will run into it. Some Pokemon are harder to find than others. The Admin and Mods have no control over what Pokemon you run into. It will all be decided by the roll of a die. However, they can decide how many of that Pokemon show up after they have rolled the die. If they roll a Rattata, they can choose to have a pack of 10 of them suddenly appear, this only counts as 1 spawn. [break][break] The max number of separate spawns per thread are 5 per character. You are welcome to pass on any future rolls for the thread even if you have not met the max amount of rolls. If you still haven't found the Pokemon you're looking for, the site-shop has an item, Extra Roll. For a small fee, you can pay to have more than 5 rolls in said thread.
[break][break]catching the pokemon Let's battle! Wait, why did it run away? Everyone always assumes that the only way to catch a Pokemon is by battling it. It is a very effective way to catch one, however, it’s not your only option. You always have the option of making friends with the Pokemon first. Help solve their problems. Make deals with them. Or if you are really devious, try blackmailing them. Whichever works best for you. Just keep in mind that you are not limited to battles only.
[break][break]you caught the pokemon! Once you’ve caught a Pokemon, the Admin/Mod will give you all the information you need to know about it. This includes, Name, level, type, gender, abilities, attacks and nature. Once you’ve received this information the Pokemon becomes yours and you can then give it a nickname. You are in control of the Pokemon. However, don’t forget to read the personality and play it accordingly. If you caught a Pokemon who runs from every battle, then it probably wouldn’t be starting any fights.

[attr="class","reolBody"] Leveling and EvolvinglevelingThere are two (2) ways to level your Pokemon in Everlong. The first is by thread count. For every completed thread, your Pokémon will earn one level for completing the thread. If your thread reaches 3 pages your Pokémon will earn a second level. If no Pokémon was mentioned, staff will randomize one Pokémon on your team at the end. After all, Pokemon grow stronger for more reasons than just battling. Perhaps the Pokemon was helping chop wood, or carry heavy objects? Maybe they were meditating or dancing. There are many ways to earn experience, so feel free to get creative! Please be sure to mention the Pokemon and what they are doing in as many posts as you can so they have a chance to gain experience. [break][break] The second way to gain levels is by battling - whether it be wild Pokemon or another Trainer's Pokemon. When your Pokemon are battling another Pokemon who's level is within 5 levels of yours (higher or lower), once the opposing Pokemon is defeated your's will gain 1 level. If the defeated opposing Pokemon is 6 or more levels higher, your Pokemon can gain up to 2 levels. However, if your Pokemon defeats another that is 6 or more levels below your Pokemon, no levels will be acquired through battle. Levels will be rewarded at the end of the completed thread. [break][break] Once you have completed your non modded thread (i.e. catch/battle), place a completed tag at the end of your threads title and reply to the Thread Moderation. An admin or mod will tell you how many levels your Pokemon gained by posting to the bottom of the thread and lock it. evolvingAll Pokemon evolve the same way they would in the video games with an exception for Pokemon that evolve in certain areas and with Happiness/Friendship. [break][break] Pokemon who evolve in certain areas will still evolve in "certain areas," however, that area will be changed to fit the Everlong Kingdom map. Pokemon who evolve by happiness/friendship have been updated to either a specific level, stone, or time of day. [break][break] See the list below for our full evolution chart. [attr="class","reolBody"] Battling and Items
battling Battling in the Kingdom of Everlong can be done in two ways. Pure Roleplay or Game style Roleplay. Both of them require you to roleplay, however one gives a bit more freedom while the other ensures no one can play unfairly. [break][break] In Pure Roleplay style, everything is game. You can do as you feel is fair while still making sure you only use moves your Pokemon knows. Keep in mind that a player can ask to switch to Game Style at any point if they feel their opponent is playing unfairly. They can also request an Admin/Mod to help referee the battle. At that point, both Pokemon will be considered 'fully healed' and the battle will start from there. [break][break] In Game style, both players must abide by the same rules you would in the game. You both are able to take one turn starting with the Pokemon who has the most speed. Using an item counts as a turn. Each player will have a chance of dodging three times in a Game style battle. If you need help while battling you can always request an Admin/Mod to help referee.
items All items have the same effects as they would in the game. Some items are much rarer than others while many can be bought in the Main Shop. However, some can only be found on wild Pokemon, NPC's, through contests and in Member Shops. Items that increase happiness cannot be found. You will be expected to maintain your own inventory and use the correct amount. Every character starts off with 5 Pokeballs. Please see our store for buyable items. [break][break] There are some in-game items not found in our shop that characters of specific backgrounds are allowed to have in their inventory such as a rod or traps. Please contact a staff member for more information and if this can be attached to your character.

[attr="class","reolBody"] moves and abilitiesa guide on complicated moves by DantalionSome moves and abilities do not transfer into RP very well but no worries we got a guide for that. These hard to define moves and abilities are covered in this guide. If a move you want is not seen within this guide but has a difficult description just let a mod know. [break][break] When it comes to moves with status ailments such as flinch. We encourage people to chose when they want it if at all. However, dice may be rolled to see if you get a status ailment if you avoid it too much. All chances are out of 100 and follow the basic percentage provided by places such as Bulbapedia and PokemonDB. [break][break] Damage is calculated with the Pokemon Showdown Calculator. Some power values may need to be entered manually thanks to the unusualness of some moves such as Magnitude. status movesDisable - causes the previous move the target used to be disabled for 1-4 posts, which prevents the move's use. [break] Encore - forces the target to use the previously selected move for 3 turns. Encore does not work against Encore itself, Mimic, Mirror Move, Sketch, Struggle or Transform. [break] Instruct - tells the user's teammate in a double/triple battle to use its most recent move instead of them. In other words, it allows a teammate to attack twice instead of the two Pokémon attacking once each. [break] Substitute - using 25% of its max HP, the user creates a substitute with the same type and stats as the user, and an HP equal to the amount lost. [break] Synthesis - restores the user's current HP based on the weather in battle. Normal conditions restore 50% total HP, sunny conditions restore 2/3, and other weather types restore 25%. attack movesBeat Up - For each pokemon in your party the move gains an additional 20 power. So one pokemon is equal to 20 power, two is 40, three is 60, four is 80, five is 100, six is 120. [break] Magnitude - User or mod rolls a 100-sided dice. Magnitude 4 has a 5% chance with power of 10, Magnitude 5 has a 10% chance with power of 30, Magnitude 6 has a 20% chance with power of 50, Magnitude 7 has a 30% chance with power of 70, Magnitude 8 has a 20% chance with power of 90, Magnitude 9 has a 10% chance with power of 110, Magnitude 10 has a 5% chance with power of 150. [break] Metronome - uses a random move chosen from nearly all existing moves, even if the user cannot normally learn it. Please use the metronome randomizer to select the move. [break] Pay Day - A small amount of money is gained after the battle resolves. This extra money is randomized between 10-50 by the mods using dice. [break] Present - Either deals damage (80% chance) or heals the target for 1/4 of its max HP (20% chance). Player or mod rolls 100-sided dice to determine whether it heals or attacks. [break] If it does damage, its power is chosen at random from 40 (50% chance), 80 (40% chance), or 120 (10% chance). Player or mod rolls 100-sided dice to determine the attack power. [break] Trump Card - the move can only be used five times. Each time it is used the power grows. First time 40, second 50, third 60, forth 80, fifth 200. banned movesFissure - If it hits, Fissure is guaranteed to make the opponent faint. [break] Guillotine - If it hits, Guillotine is guaranteed to make the opponent faint. [break] Horn Drill - If it hits, Horn Drill is guaranteed to make the opponent faint. [break] Sheer Cold - If it hits, Sheer Cold is guaranteed to make the opponent faint. abilitiesHoney Gather - The Pokémon may gather Honey from somewhere. Has a 1/6th chance of happening and can be sold at the shop for $100.

[attr="class","reolBody"] Breeding PokemonbreedingBreeding is done a little differently in Everlong. When you wish to breed a Pokemon, you must find a breeder character and thread out the interaction of handing over your Pokemon to said breeder IC. Your Pokemon will then be out of play for 5 days from the time the thread was created. This means if a new thread is created in the 5 days after the start of the Breeding thread, the Pokemon that's breeding is not allowed to be in that thread. At the end of the Breeding post, a staff member will post the egg(s) information. [break][break] Requirements: - Pokemon must be in the same egg group to be able to breed.
- Pokemon must be male or female, or a ditto and female.
- Either the trainer needs to have both Pokemon in their Library to be able to breed them, or find a mate by another trainer who must then both post in the Breeding Thread.
breedersBreeders are welcome to set up a shop and sell their services, please request a board by PMing a staff member. When a Breeding session has occurred, a staff member will roll a 3 sided die to determine how many eggs were produced, the gender, nature, as well as any color variations. The Pokemon will always be the same breed as the mother.
